Terms and Conditions for Sales, Repairs, and Warranties

SALES POLICY

  1. When ordering parts, a payment for the full amount is required. Please note that we do not accept returns on electronic parts and special orders. All parts ordered have a 20% restocking fee if returned.
  2. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, returns are available within 15 days of your purchase. Proof of purchase is required, and the unit(s) must be in the same condition as when purchased. Refunds and exchanges are not permitted after the allowable return period or without an original receipt. Special/custom orders are non-returnable.

REPAIR POLICY

  1. We require a NON-REFUNDABLE TROUBLESHOOTING FEE of $135 for residential machines and $168 for professional type machines.
  2. We will not contact customers for approval with estimated repairs under $350 for residential machines and $400 for professional machines before taxes.
  3. Any machines not picked up within 60 days after being notified by Genius that repairs are completed, they will be disposed/recycled and will no longer be the responsibility of Genius Coffee N’ Espresso Equipment Inc.
  4. As a part of our diagnosis, the machine will be opened/disassembled to find the source/s of the issue. By doing so, the wear and tear of the machine may cause additional damage. We, Genius Coffee N’ Espresso Equipment Inc., do not take responsibility for the breakage. We will, however, replace any parts at the owner's expense.

WARRANTY ON REPAIR POLICY

  1. We offer a 90-day warranty for repaired machines that have undergone a complete service.
  • The warranty starts from the date of pick up and ends 90 days from that date. The warranty period does not restart when the machine is dropped off for repairs within that time period.
  • For any machines coming back within the 90 days warranty period, after an evaluation and diagnostic is N.F.F. (no fault found), there will be a $135 charge for TROUBLESHOOTING as well as any additional parts installed in the machine. We suggest calling or emailing us first.
    • In most cases the problem could be solved over the phone. Please note that any servicing or disassembly of the machine by personnel other than Authorized Genius Equipment Technicians will void the 90-day warranty. Subsequent repairs will be chargeable at regular shop rates.

NOTE: Please be advised that we do not provide Genius Warranty for repairs on machines older than 10 years, as previously notified.

STORE POLICY

  1. For safety purposes, customers are not allowed to enter the repair area.
  2. Any feedback and suggestions concerning our products and services must be brought into 5608 Hastings Street, via email at info@geniusequipment.com or phone at 604.298.9600.
  3. Added insurance coverage for any shipment must be requested and paid by the customer before the shipment is sent out, this includes warranty and non-warranty machines. Once the machine has left our store grounds, it is no longer the responsibility of Genius Coffee N’ Espresso Equipment Inc.
