How to Manually Program the Sanremo Zoe and Verona Models

How to Manually Program the Sanremo Zoe and Verona Models

Programming your Sanremo Zoe or Verona coffee machine by hand is easy. But it requires preparation and attention to detail. Follow these steps with precision to achieve the perfect coffee dosage:

Preparation

  1. Prepare yourself:

    • Portafilter: Load it with your desired coffee dose and set it aside.

    • Measuring Device: Use a measuring cup to track coffee volume. For precision, use a scale to measure the output.

  2. Restrictions During Programming:

    • You cannot use Group 2, Group 3, or the hot water tap while programming.

Programming Steps

  1. Set-Up:

    • Insert the prepared portafilter with coffee into Group 1.

    • Place your measuring cup or scale underneath the portafilter.

  2. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Press and hold the Continuous Button (with the Sanremo logo) for 5 to 8 seconds. Wait until it begins to flash on both groups or all three groups.

    • Release the button once it starts flashing.

  3. Program Your Desired Button:

    • Press the button you wish to program to start the brew.

    • If programming for a single shot, use a single portafilter and measure for one cup.

    • For double shots, combine the quantities of coffee in two cups.

  4. Stop the Brew:

    • Watch the coffee brew and stop it by pressing the same button when the desired quantity is reached.

  5. Exit Programming Mode:

    • Wait for the buttons to stop flashing to exit programming mode.

    • Please do not press any buttons while they are flashing. This will overwrite the programming.

    • The machine will exit programming mode 30 seconds after the last activation.

Tips for Success

  • Always portion the coffee dose carefully to ensure consistent results.

  • If you make a mistake, you can re-enter the programming mode and adjust the settings.

  • For accurate results, using a scale instead of a measuring cup is recommended.

  • It's always best to benchmark your coffee before programming. This means adjusting your grind coarseness for the aromas you want before programming. Use the manual button to grind coffee and use the continuous button to run the manual shot. For more details, look up the blog about programming your brew ratio on your machine.

These steps will calibrate your Sanremo Zoe or Verona machine accurately for your coffee recipes.
